The story
Rooted in the shoreline
Salt Glass Studio began as a way to step away from a demanding profession and spend time along the shoreline. What started as a quiet routine of collecting sea glass slowly turned into something more.
Today, that routine has become a small body of work. Simple jewelry and quiet coastal pieces made from what is found along the shore.
Most of the glass comes from Atlantic Canada, with a few pieces gathered during travels.
I work with what the ocean gives, letting the shape of each piece guide what it becomes.
How it’s made
Process & craft
Each piece begins without a fixed plan.
Some pieces become simple jewelry, clean and minimal, made to be worn every day. Others become small artworks, where the material suggests the direction. A shape might become part of a scene, a sail, a shoreline, something that was not planned at the start.
Each piece is built around what is already there.
Everything is made by hand, slowly, without trying to force the material into something it is not.

The artist
By day, Pierrette Daigle works as a physician in New Brunswick. In quieter moments, she walks the shoreline, collecting pieces of sea glass shaped by years of tide and time.
What began as a way to unwind became something worth sharing. A creative practice grounded in patience, observation, and attention to small details.

Custom work is always welcome. Some pieces start with an idea or a place; others come from a conversation. The process stays the same, shaped as much by the material as by the request.
